In view of the current situation, the Federal Office for Food Safety would like to draw your attention to § 22 para. 2 DMG 2021, according to which fertilizers, soil additives, growing media and plant aids approved for an unlimited period of time in accordance with § 9a Fertilizer Act 1994 may only be placed on the market until 1 January 2025 with the labelling and composition corresponding to the approval.

If fertilizers, soil additives, growing media and plant aids that have been individually approved in accordance with Section 9a of the FertilizerAct 1994 wish to continue to be placed on the market beyond 1 January 2025, a new application for approval must be submitted via the BAES website for"Renewed approval of previously approved fertilizer products in accordance with Section 9a of the Fertilizer Act 1994".

Please note that, for reasons of procedural economy, it is requested that the previous approval notice be uploaded as part of the respective application under "Other".
