The so-called "werewolf syndrome" refers to various neurological symptoms in dogs that were suspected to be linked to the feeding of certain chews. The most recent reports from owners came from Germany. Here too, there could be a possible connection with the feeding of bovine skin products from a manufacturer in China. No specific cause has yet been found.
No connection to Austria is known so far, but the product could have been purchased online and could have reached Austria in this way. Clinical cases from Austria have not yet been reported. The BAES has not received any reports in this regard.
