Die Genehmigung eines Versuches erteilt das Bundesamt für Ernährungssicherheit (BAES) auf Antrag. Rechtsgrundlage ist Artikel 54 der Verordnung (EG) 1107/2009. Significant restrictions on approvals of Imidacloprid, Clothianidin and Thiamethoxam for active substances
With the implementing regulations (EU) 2018/783, (EU) 2018/784 and (EU) 2018/785, the European Commission has significantly restricted the approval of the active substances Imidacloprid, Clothianidin and Thiamethoxam. Member States must therefore amend or withdraw authorisations for plant protection products containing at least one of those active substances by 19.09.2018 at the latest.

Label claims concerning efficacy in the authorization of plant protection products: ‘moderate control’ and ‘some control only’
The efficacy of plant protection products will be thoroughly evaluated in the authorization process, in addition to the other assessment areas (e.g. ecotoxicology, environmental behavior, residual behavior, and toxicology). As a matter of principle, plant protection products can only be authorized if an appropriate effect has been demonstrated for the intended use.
